These are not made of lead they are made of Tungsten.  The round balls have a band around them but it was stated that you should load them with the band against the rifling.  Its the sabot that interests me.  Its the shape of the front of the projectile that has my cureiosity.  One of the Pa flintlock hunter was convinced with their efficiency after his first kill.  Beware he does get excited.  its the 2012 PA video.
